Mrs Wright was my, and countless others primary school teacher. She installed in every child she taught a kindness and thoughtfulness that went beyond that just of a teacher. I know that these teachings followed us all through our lives, and it is with that she will live on, through us and our children. I remember her fondly, visiting us with home made ginger wine that I wasn't allowed.
When I heard of her passing, it is with ginger wine I saluted her promotion to glory. Not traditional, maybe. But Mrs Wright broke the mould, and encouraged others to do so.
My thoughts are with her family and everyone who had the blessed fortune to have Mrs Wright in their lives.
